Thursday, Oct 25 – Live Speaker on “Apologetics for Humans”

What Is “Apologetics for Humans”?
How can we persuasively engage today’s culture with the Gospel?  What works and what doesn’t?  Isn’t it sufficient to quote scripture and simply present the Gospel?  Since only God can save, what reason do we have to study apologetics?
Join us Thursday evening at Cottonwood as we tackle these questions and more.

This Thursday, Oct 25
6:45 – 8:15 PM
We are in for a real treat as this talented and knowledgeable young speaker brings a refreshing and practical message on the role of apologetics for today’s Christians and Christian churches.
Luke Knight – Director, Reasonable Faith, Denver Chapter
With a wealth of knowledge, skills and experience beyond his years, Luke and his bride have recently moved from Denver to Fort Worth to pursue his doctorate at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.  Having led the Denver Reasonable Faith chapter for several years, he is well aware of the challenges and opportunities we face today as Christian case-makers.  We are privileged to have him as our speaker this Thursday evening.
Personal Invitation from Luke
“Apologetics often becomes a specialized field of study, complete with its own culture, jargon, methodology, and assumptions. Often times this “foreign language” that apologists speak leaves us frustratingly unable to communicate with others.
Apologetics for Humans seeks to bridge this divide between the apologists and other humans. The goal is to have more fruitful conversations with others, both believers and non-believers alike, about the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to Persuasively Engage the Culture with the Gospel.
In order to do this, we have to understand where the culture is, and how we got here, then we can begin to understand other people better and increase our persuasiveness for Christ’s Kingdom.
I hope to see you on Thursday, so we can unpack Apologetics for Humans: Persuasively Engaging Culture with the Gospel.”
