Just a quick message to confirm that
our only remaining meeting this year is

Because of the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays, we will not be meeting the fourth Thursday of November or December.

* Our December 10 meeting will be a special year-end gathering and celebration of the birth of Jesus.

Recommended: “THINK CHRISTIANLY”

Another great resource for practical advice and wisdom is Jonathan Morrow’s book, Think Christianly.   Here’s a link to an excerpt from the foreword to that book:

There is also a web site with a wealth of information and resource.   A question and link titled, “IS YOUR STUDENT READY”, is currently posted at this site.   Check it out.

YES!!! We are meeting one more time this year. December 10

Chapter Meeting, December 10

YES!  We are meeting one more time this year!

We have this exceptional opportunity to hear
Casey Luskin, acclaimed scientist and spokesman for the Discovery Institute.

  • Can evolution explain the origin of life?
  • Can evolution explain the information required for life?
  • Can evolution explain the complexity of life?
  • Can evolution explain the creation of new “kinds” of life?
  • What are “IDEA” clubs and how can they help us?

Yes, this will be an interactive “Zoom” meeting.  As much as we would love to have Casey visit us in person, it just isn’t ‘in the cards’, but we can enjoy world-class speakers via the internet.

Great Web Site – … and free books!

We often wish for a well organized list of all the resources available to us. Well, … the list down the right side of the home page of the following web site may not be perfect, but it’s a pretty good start.

http://2besure.blogspot.com/…/top-10-free-classic-must-read…

And, by the way, this site currently lists ten great reference books that are available for free in designated formats. I just “bought” the Kindle version of the G.K. Chesterton classic, “Orthodoxy”, for zero dollars. And I downloaded the mp3 version of “Mere Christianity” so I can listen to this all time classic during our upcoming road trips.
